Outings!

G was sick so I brought J to the Singapore Art Museum to escape from germs at home and to take advantage of a museum card. We ended up at Raffles City instead after I realised I forgot to bring the card out... So loser! He was a good baby and was able to entertain himself with his owl while I shopped. At one point, he even fell asleep. Haha!

J's first trip to a hawker centre (Ghim Moh). We were just waiting for my mum and helper to shop for CNY reunion dinner food.

Met some friends at House Barracks for brunch. E bought a new camera in anticipation of his newborn and managed to capture this picture of J and me which I liked very much :)

First Food

Trying to start J on solids... he is pictured with teething husk and cereal all over his face. Our routine so far has been to get him to sit in the bumbo chair and feed him with cereal to get him used to the idea of eating from a bowl and spoon... he seems interested enough in food but I am not so sure about cooking vegetables and meat for a 6 mth old...will have to research a bit more...

Fun at work ;P

Had heaps of fun in a balloon sculpting class organised by my company's staff well-being committee and made this bouquet of flowers. Can you spot the butterfly?



ps: decided to cut my hair but my new fringe makes me feel like a goon...

Pompeii

G is away for a business trip till thurs. Since I had been wanting to see the Pompeii exhibition, I decided to go with J (on my own). Turned out to be some adventure... First, I realised I didn't lock the car until we reached the gallery so I made a dash to the car and back in record time. Later, he didn't like the 3D documentary too much and began to fuss so I made a quick escape in the middle of it. On to the exhibits and after a while, he decided that it was time for his feed and I had to exit again to feed him outside. When I made it into the gallery for the third time, I managed to finish most of the exhibits and left for much needed food! Was disappointed with the service staff at the cafe but the museum staff was terrific cos by the time I left, J had fallen asleep in my arms and there was no way for me to carry the stroller down the entrance steps so they helped me do so, right to my car and offered to fold the stroller (which is not too straightforward). Next time, I shall go with G.

Chow time!

J has been showing great interest in food. I guess there is no differentiation between what's plastic and real food for now..
He is one late owl and is by my side (carried by G) and looking on as I type this ;)
