Will things change?

As the GE 2011 draws near, I hope that fellow Singaporeans vote courageously to secure the future of Singapore. Even though the ruling party has successfully steered the economy all these years, there are costs involved. Growth took place at the expense of Singaporeans - poor Singaporeans who are caught short until election looms. There are also various failings ranging from lack of affordable housing for Singaporeans (why PRs first? why build only near election period?), transport (what world class transport system?) to the loss of engagement with citizens (e.g. are the new candidates truly deserving of the privilege to serve Singapore? can we be placated with Non-Constituency Members of Parliament? what are the real needs of citizens?).

Will things change? I maintain my optimism...
